The Pit

Experiences | Investigations

“The Pit” is the nickname that’s been given to the area that lies underneath the King’s College chapel that is used by the college’s drama students.

Experiences

The Pit is said to be haunted by the ghost of a janitor who’s wearing a yellow jacket. He emerges from a door in The Pit, and upon being noticed, quickly disappears into thin air. We’ve never met anyone who’s witnessed this ghost nor could we find anymore information about who this ghost may be. With so little to go on we have our suspicions that this particular case may be nothing more than an urban legend.

Investigations

October 25, 2007
Jonathan, Matt, and Rob spent the night in The Pit. A King’s journalism student by the name of Jay Heisler accompanied us as our guest since he was writing an article about Grim Undertakings.

Except for almost having my video camera stolen (and not being able to turn off the lights!), nothing unexplained happened to us during the night. No strange data was captured on our analog and digital cameras, video cameras or audio recorders. There were no fluctuations in EMF readings or temperature.

I would like to thank King’s College and Jay Heisler for allowing us to investigate The Pit. If anyone has any information about who this ghost may be, or if you’ve ever seen him, we’d love to hear about it.
